Christmas Time Fun

Merry Christmas!
We've been super super busy getting ready for Santa's big arrival. Jonah is old enough now that he really seems to get the whole Santa-bringing-presents thing. We've had so much fun this year seeing Christmas through the eyes of our baby boys. It just makes everything magical!

We had our annual family Christmas pics at a Christmas Tree Farm. I loved this idea and have really been wanting pics like this. However, poor Fisher was at the doctor just 3 hours before getting diagnosed with his first ear infection. He was not a happy camper. He didn't feel good and was so sleepy. He actually fell asleep while we were having our picture made! Given the circumstances...they turned out pretty cute ;)

Fell asleep right after this one!

Love this smile! We get so many fake ones these days.

Looks thrilled, doesn't he? Poor baby. The things I make him do!

Next up...the Gardendale Christmas Parade! I'm such a kid at heart. I just love the Christmas parade. Well, who am I kidding...I love everything Christmas. Just call me Buddy the Elf ;) Both boys seemed to enjoy it and just watched with wide eyes.

Sweet cousins!

Magic! Ok, so the kid at heart thing...someone had the idea to have a huge snow machine going as Santa came by on the firetruck. Holy smokes it was pouring real snow! I about died. It was the coolest thing!

Jonah had a sweet little Christmas party at preschool! I'm beyond blessed that I get to stay home with these boys and can go to all these fun things! Jonah really did have fun, he just doesn't like my camera!

SANTA! I know him!!!

We went to Bass Pro Shop to see Santa this year. We only had to wait like 20 minutes and the boys did pretty good! Win! Both were very cautious of Santa, but we weren't crying. Momma's happy!

Another really fun thing we've gotten to do is...Elf on the Shelf! We've had Henry for a couple years, but we haven't really experienced all that he could get into until now. Here's what he's been up to...

And now, for some randomness...

Putting our first ornament on the tree. This year was a little fire station in honor of the one down the street that Jonah loves to look at when we pass. Fire Station #2!

His first letter to Santa! He came up with some things on his list (Snot Rod!) and the little tractor for Brubby. I helped with the rest ;)

Love this! Magnetic ornaments to put on each day until Christmas!

Family selfie before church. Love these 3 boys!

Henry brought a Gingerbread Train kit that we just had to dive right into!

So serious! J had a lot of fun decorating. It wasn't easy, I must admit.

I'm so in love with these 2 Santa babies!!! Their smiles just make every ounce of stress worth it. I do all of this for them, of course, and to see them happy just makes my Christmas so special!

(very late) 9 Month Update!

Fisherman is now about 9 1/2 months and I'm just now getting around to our update! He's developing such a sweet little personality that I'm just falling so in love with! He's actually pretty laid back compared to a few months ago. He will just play and be perfectly happy until he gets hungry or sleepy. He puts up with Jonah B taking toys and picking on him a little bit ;). He's gonna be tough!

He's 22# 2oz and 29.5 in long. He's in 12 month clothes, size 4 diapers, and size 4 shoes! He's got a chunky little foot.
I love my new shooooooeeeesss!
He says mama, dada, and we think hi! He will wave that adorable fat hand and has recently started clapping for himself. He has 4 1/4 teeth, ha! Two on the bottom, two on the top (his "vampire teeth") and one that has just barely popped through on the top middle. We've struggled with those top middle teeth!

He sleeps MUCH better these days. He takes 2 naps a day, usually 2-2.5 hrs each. Bedtime is around 8 and he will sleep until 6:30ish. He loves to wrestle with daddy and Jonah. Also loves to push his own toys aside to play with Jonah's cars!

He loves to snuggle with mommy, but not for long. He's on the go! He crawls all over, pulls up, walks along the couch, and will just bounce bounce bounce!

He's been a pretty healthy kid until a few weeks ago. He got his first ear infection and was so pitiful with such a nasty nose for a few days. We thought it cleared up, but when we went back for a checkup and recheck ears, he still had fluid on the right ear. 2 days later we were back with a full blown infection #2! The next day, he came down with a fever virus and had a temp above 103 for a couple days. He finished up the antibiotics yesterday, and we will go back for a recheck in 2 days. Fingers crossed! He's much better now, but his poor nose was SO closed up that he snored crazy loud. Worst mommy award...I cut open the bulb syringe that I was using on him and discovered some aweful gross stuff inside. No wonder he wasn't getting better!

Fisherman, you are so adorable and have such a infectious smile. We can't get enough of your big belly laugh. You love doing anything with your brother, and I hope you two stay buddies forever. I love you so much Brubbykins, and I cannot wait to see what you will do next!

Happy Birthday-Thanksgiving!

We talk in Jonah-code nowadays :) We had such a great Thanksgiving in Madison with the whole big happy family!
Obsessed does not begin to describe my feelings for these boys!

J was all about some Tanner!

Little turkey butt gets around quicker than we can turn our head!

Making his Christmas list ;)

That night, we loaded up in the car-van and headed to Huntville Botanical Gardens for the Galaxy of Lights! It was so much fun, and I've seriously decided to make that our new Thanksgiving night tradition. It just kick-starts Christmas so perfectly!

The boys loved all the lights!

Sweet man camped out on an air mattress :) He was wiped out from our fun, busy, exciting day. I love spending time with my family and making new memories. I've never had this much fun during the Holidays. It's really all about the kids now, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING
