Super late 7mo Update

I'm so far behind! Fisherman turned 7 months over 2 weeks ago and I'm just now getting around to updating. He's growing so super fast and is getting such a personality. I'm just falling so in love with that baby boy more and more everyday. He's in 9 month clothes, but has been known to throw on a 12 month.

He's not the best sleeper, I have to admit. He goes to bed around 8 every night and is usually awake by 6. This morning it was 5 :( I keep telling myself that someday these boys are gonna want to sleep until noon, but that is not now!

He's getting so close to crawling! I freeze every time he's in the floor and gets in his push up position or on all 4s. He'll move backwards, but not forward.

His favorite things to play with are his big brother's cars (or anything of big brother's), his walker, and my shirt as a chew toy! He regularly calls out to his "mama" and has started to babble with other sounds. Poor baby isn't feeling too well right now. He's got the tummy bug! He has thrown up a few times in the last 2 days and has really done a number on his diapers. He's being a tough little guy, though.
He started eating some puffs like a big boy and loved them, of course!

Then we tried bananas. They're slippery little suckers. He basically scrapes them into his mouth, ha! Whatever works, punkin :)
Had to move his bed down a level. He doesn't sit up yet, but he pushes so far up when he's on his tummy that his head was peaking out way over the crib. I just didn't want the first time that he sat up to be in the middle of the night. He might get a little too adventurous.

Like I said before, he's got such a cute little personality. He loves to wrestle with Jonah and Daddy. He's got the prettiest blue eyes and 2 little toothies in that big grin of his. I love love love that baby doll! Fisher Cole, your mommy loves you as far as a star :)

Beachin (Part 2)

As promised...here's some more of our beach trip!

Ahhh, naps on the beach!

And working hard at some swimming!

He got his float, took it to the water, and was calling daddy to come get him and take him back out in the water! Bless the baby. He loves it!

Oh, what a difference a few years makes! 2 1/2 years ago, I would have been out on the beach the whole day, spraying tanning oil on my skin and lemon juice in my hair, reading a magazine and/or listening to my ipod. Nowadays, loading up on sunscreen, taking half the things we own, and rocking the baby in the nice shade while watching J "crash" the waves fills my day. Wouldn't go back for anything in the world!

"I sweeping (sleeping) in ocean, Mommy"

Fisherman got in on the action, too! He really enjoyed his lounging ;)

Another sea creature...Sea Turtle!!! We've never seen one in all our years of going to the beach. I bet we saw 10! This was a really big one, but there were smaller ones, too. So cool!

Such a cute little splash pad for the littles. J mostly walked around the outside and climbed on the turtle...

But he warmed up to it, and loved it!

The water was the most clear I have ever seen it. You can actually see people's feet in this pic!

Mommy's little beach bum :)

One night, we went out at sunset to look for some crabbies! Poppy brought a net for J to hunt with. He also loved his flashlight, and demanded to turn it on right away (even with the sun still out).

J loves pulling/pushing Brubby around. Thankfully, Brubby loves it, too!

Lol! #pottytraining

Another first on this vacay was a trip to Gulf World! It was totally worth it, to me. We got to see so many new (to us) animals up close. J loved it, and so did we. I would definitely go back.
Nurse Shark

I'm officially in love with sea turtles. They have now jumped to the top of my list.

The trainers put on a few shows during the day, and you can just walk around to the different areas and catch whatever show you want. This guy was feeding the nurse sharks and sea turtles.

Munching on a cucumber

Such beautiful and graceful animals

My sweeties! Brubs was just hanging out ;)

LOVE!

We caught the Sea Lion/Dolphin show. It was so much fun!

"Otto" did some really cool tricks for us

Fisherman is on the move...just in the wrong direction! He can get around wherever he wants to go by rolling, crawling backwards, or taking off in his walker.

Gets a little stuck at times, though :)

We had such a great time on this trip. Thanks to Nonny and Poppy for another great vacation together. It really felt a lot more laid back than usual. We ate lunch in a lot and got take out. We really didn't make it a big deal to get ready, get the kids together, and go out somewhere. That's just not important anymore. It's way too much trouble. What I love is hanging out on the beach later in the day when it's cooler and the sun is going down. I love being able to take J crabbing. I also love an early bedtime for the boys (and me, hehe). More than anything, I love spending time with my family. Playing with my kids, building memories, and watching them grow. What more can you ask for?
