#3...He or She???

This is happening! Yarbrough baby #3 is on the way! We've always known in our hearts that we wanted 3 children. We love our 2 boys, but we just didn't quite feel complete yet. We decided in March that it was time. We didn't get a positive test until August. It was a little bit of a wait, but God's timing is perfect, and we are thrilled! The day we found out, it had just been 4 weeks since my last period. I had planned to wait about 5 more days before I tested. Derek, on the other hand, was not that patient. He was insisting that I take a test. I told him if he wanted to go get me one, then I would take it. He called my bluff and went right away :) This was also the middle of the afternoon. Apparently the tests are more accurate first thing in the morning. Much to my surprise, we got an immediate positive!!!! I didn't have words. I just showed it to Derek with my mouth wide open. It took me the next few days to really wrap my head around the fact that we were having another little angel baby!
We already knew how we wanted to share the news with my family (and the rest of our world). I was able to get Tamara from our Sunday school class to help us with the boys' shirts. We contacted Grant Dopson the next day and he agreed to meet us the following Sunday to take some sweet pics. He got them back to me the day after our session, I ordered prints which came in about 2 days, and then we were headed to Huntsville with our secret!!! We were there a few days between Mom and Dad's birthdays, so we wrapped them each a framed pic and watched them unwrap the sweet sweet news. Dad didn't get it at first. He thought it was just a pic of the boys. Mom cried...success! That made Dad take a second look, ha! When they both were finally on the same page, they were super excited and the talks of babies and names and nursery really amped up!

Sweetest and most handsome big brothers in the world!

Fisher's real feelings about becoming a big brother, ha!

Fisher, that eyebrow...

Next up was the forever long wait for our appointment. We ended being about 9 1/2 weeks before we went in for our first checkup. It was worth the wait. There's nothing like seeing your baby for the first time on that ultrasound. Sweet baby was moving and kicking and punching all over the place. We got to see hands and even little bitty toes! I was so surprised to see these tiny little pea looking things. I said are those toes?! They were so cute, I just wanted to eat them up! Our due date is May 2, which I do hope we get to May. It would be neat to have birthdays in March, April, then May. I'm thinking it will be another boy, but Derek is convinced it's a girl. Jonah says girl, too! He says he wants a little sister. We will find out the week of Thanksgiving who is right! We have chosen names either way. A boy would be Bennett Henry, and a girl would be Emery Jane. I love them both and can't wait to see which one we are gonna be using! I found my little questionnaire from last time, so we might as well start that up :)

Sweet baby, I don't know your name yet, but I adore you. I love you and I pray for you. I can't wait for the days when I can feel you rolling around in my tummy. I dream about holding you for the first time when you come into this world. I promise to love you and lead you, hug you and kiss you, encourage you, protect you, and teach you about the sweet love of Jesus. You are our gift from God, and we are so grateful.

Fall Shenanigans

Oh, it starts! Like most people, this begins my favorite time of year. Cooler weather, Holidays, family, outdoor fun.... Let's play catch-up...

J is now well into his 3K class and loving it! His teachers are Ms. Saundra and Ms. Laura. They are so sweet and just love him, of course! How could you not? He is learning so crazy much. It amazes me. He came home one day singing I'm in the Lord's Army. I had to look up the song, because I didn't even remember it. They say the pledge and are learning to write letters. He can actually write his name! It's a little jumbled up, but all the letters are there. Smart man ;) He tells me all about his friends, especially Baylee Clark...his girlfriend. He says he plays with her and sits by her everyday. I'm not sure how I feel about this! They also talk about the days of the week and the weather. There's such a cute song that goes with that, too. I just love it all. I can't wait to pick him up each day and hear what he all he did! And how about this comparison...First day of 2K vs. first of 3K. No words...

Walking in his first day!

Brubby missed him like crazy that first day. He didn't understand where he friend went. He kept going to the stairs and yelling like he was calling his brother. They were both happy to be reunited :)

Nonny and Poppy got moved into their new house. The boys love to fish and feed the ducks out by the pond.

Brothers...friends for life

Big boy riding his tricycle!

Showing me how he holds the flag at school when it's his turn ;)

Super stoked to match daddy and wear this to school one day.

Fire pit, smores, crazy kids, and animal poop in Brubby's mouth...ahh good times.

He's doing so good with his letters. Got this book from Usborne books. It's so great. He just wipes it clean and traces again!

No caption needed...

I got your back...

We had a play date with Rhett at McWane Center not too long ago. They had such a good time and just ran crazy from one thing to the next and back again. Exhausting, but so worth it.

The water was Brubby's favorite. I had to tear him away because he was soaked. Hair, face, most of his shirt. And no backup shirt, either. Woops!

Oh my stars...the fall school pics...

I love that they actually got a true smile out of him! He's very big on the fake smiles lately.

Craft day!

Oh, so we recently decided to revamp our front bed. We cut down all the overgrown, kinda ugly, plain stuff and replanted. It doesn't look like much now, but in a few years (hopefully!) it will look much different.

Hopefully one day I will remember to take another pic with these trees. They grow slow, but should get around 12-15ft tall.

Ha, this was fun. We had just gone to the bank where the sweet lady sent over 2 suckers. We then walked into Publix and the boys were given these balloons. Hey, it kept them occupied the whole trip. They giggled and smacked the balloons the whole time. Publix...where shipping is a pleasure ;)

SPOILER ALERT...very exciting post coming up next...
