Fisherman is 2!!!!

Excuse me while I pick myself up off the floor. Fisher Cole is 2??? Oh, how can it be? He has changed so much over just the past few months. He is truly a big boy :( We decided to not do a huge party since...well...I'm a little *huge* myself! Instead, Derek took off and we took Fisher out for a special day on his birthday. Then that weekend, Nonny and Poppy came then the Eatons came to help us celebrate our precious Brubbykins!

We kicked the festivities off with a pancake breakfast! Fisher loves Toy Story, so the party theme choice was easy. We all went into his room when he woke up and sang him Happy Birthday and dumped some balloons in his bed. It took him a minute to wake up, but then he had fun with the balloons :)

Happy Birthday to you!!!!

<3 <3 <3

Then it was time to head out! First order of business...turning that car seat around! He was so excited to sit like a boy...

And finally make the family car selfie :)

We headed to let's play after a quick checkup on Emery Jane (everything is great; that post is coming up next). They love let's play, and it's easy to see why!
Precious birthday boy just having some fun!

They loved having Daddy there! We think Fisher knew that this day was special. Maybe he didn't understand that it was his birthday, but he knew we were all together and having a great time (despite the all-day downpour).

He went up to Derek, gave him a big hug, and just said "tanks" (thanks). How sweet?!

We went to Wings for a yummy lunch! That might have been Emery's choice, but the boys had some fruit loops while we waited (thank you Wings!) so they were happy. Brubby loves some "fwoot woops"!

Next stop...Edgars!!! Take your pic, sweet birthday boy!

Chocolate "tut-tate" it is :) This face owns me!!!

J picked him out a big M&M cookie

That afternoon we brought out the goods!

Waiting until we were set up...

His favorite was the Blaze truck. He has worn it out! That's a new obsession of his.

Jonah came down with a fever and cough, so we had to move his party to Sunday. It turned out fine, though. Beautiful weather and lots of fun!

He got his very own tablet! Something else he has worn out since he got it. He loved playing with Jonah's, but now we have 2! YAY!

More Blaze!

It took him 3 tries, but he blew this one out all by himself!

So thankful for these sweet babies! I hope and pray that they will always love each other and have each others' backs. They are such sweet little bffs :)

Brubby had his first dental checkup this morning! He did really good, actually. We were just there with Jonah, so he wasn't afraid to go back. I went with him and helped out. He fussed a little when Dr. Amy was looking at this teeth, but he was pretty brave.

No cavities! She said he is getting 1 of his 2yr molars and we're waiting on the rest.

Had to get that baby a treat for being so good :)

He also had his 2 year checkup! He was over 90% in height, but only about 30% in weight. We knew he was skinnier than Jonah at this age just from the way his clothes fit. He doesn't have that sweet baby fat :( He's also lost a bit being sick lately. But, he normally eats pretty good and is just very active. He's just lean ;) He had a "perfect" checkup and was just such a sweet boy. We were just there a few days ago with another ear infection. He's definitely had his fair share of those. It's clearing up and his cough is better, too, so she said we can stop the breathing treatments. He kinda likes those now. I'll tell him it's time to do a treatment and he runs to his spot on our bed. He just gets excited because I let him watch videos on my phone while he does his treatments! Dr. Jamie asked if he is showing interest in the potty, and he actually is! He will say "teetee" and run to the potty, demand to stand up, and watch while nothing happens. Then he'll say "done!" We'll probably start that this summer after baby sister gets settled in :)

Fisherman...my sweet sweet Fisherman...2 years are gone. It makes me sad, but it also makes me think back on what all you have accomplished in 2 short years. You are such a fun, spunky, messy little boy and so full of life! You have a dark side and can be pretty defiant, but then you have this adorable giggly laugh that just changes everything. You adore your brother and your brother adores you. Jonah is already looking out for you and I just know he always will. You want to do everything that he does. Your favorite color is orange and your favorite number is 8, ha! Not sure how that came up, but you can point out the number 8 anywhere.

You love Toy Story, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Planes (especially Blade Ranger), and Paw Patrol. You could spend all your time outside if I let you. You're still not the greatest sleeper, but we'll get there. We keep going back and forth between 1 and 2 naps a day. Haven't quite figured that one out yet. You literally say new things everyday. It amazes us. It's like you took your time getting started, but now it's just exploding! Some of our favorite things you say are orange, baby, Blaze, Buzz, blue (with an emphasized balue), thanks, watch, and catch. There are so many more, but those are just the cutest :) You just recently will allow me to sing to you and only Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. On the very rare occasion, you will let me sing You Are My Sunshine. You have an adorable crush/attachment to your Sunday School teacher :) "Fisher, who are you gonna see at church? Bah-lee!" Miss Bailey loves you just as much, sweet boy! You have 3 lovies that go to bed with you every time...Cubby, Eee Eee (monkey), and Ribbit (frog). You give the best big hugs and sweetest kiss attacks. We are so in love with you. You bring so much joy and happiness into this family. You will forever be "Mommy's......BABY"!

  1. Well said Mommy! These boys are so precious to me and Poppy. I love being with them and miss them when I'm not. I think about them all the time and love having pictures and videos sent to me. They bring such joy and happiness and sometimes a little bit of exhaustion, but they are so worth it. Even though it's a little sad they are getting so big, it's also exciting to see them grow and learn and get so smart. I'm so excited to see how precious they will be to their baby sister. We are so blessed!
