Easter Fun

Extra long post alert! I've got so much to catch up on. First of all, this past Sunday was Easter! It was of course special, because it was Fisher's first Easter and first time at church! We started the morning seeing what the Easter Bunny left on our front porch! When we got J up that morning, we told him the Easter Bunny brought him something and to check the front door. He went straight there and was soooo cute peaking out the window!

He saw the basket and said "truck, tractor!" The first thing he noticed was the construction book in his basket :) He's such a boy!

Of course, he had to be my helper and bring both baskets in right away. Even got Brubby's basket. He said "hebby!"

J unpacked his basket before I could get a pic, so his is already empty in this one!

Happy Easter Brubby boy!

We got ready for church and mom came over to see the boys in their sweet Easter attire and take some family pics for us.

After our picture session, we were off to church. We dropped Jonah off at his classroom, and he had a little meltdown. He has done this before and usually stops crying by the time we get down the hall. We figured he would do that again, so we went on into church. Fisher went with us since he's still so little. I'm just not ready for him to be in a class with other kids yet. Now, it has been 7 weeks since Jonah went to Sunday School. I should have known that it might be a little sketchy. At around 12:10, right when PK started preaching, I had this feeling like I needed to check my phone. I had a text, missed call, and voicemail. The text said that Jonah was really upset and could we come check on him. It was sent 45 minutes before I saw it! We rushed over to the nursery. I felt so horrible. He had been upset enough for them to call me and I didn't even see it. Thankfully, when we got to him, he had already settled down a bit. I apologized a thousand times and said that next time, my phone would be glued to my hand! We will just have to try again next Sunday. I'm sure they will love to see us coming! The thing is, he has done great so far. I think it's just the break we took that got him out of the routine.
After church, we came back home for lunch and an Easter Egg hunt with J's cousins. It was so cute watching them get their eggs and putting them in their little baskets. J would find one and have to break it apart before putting it in his basket!

Eggs...aaarrrreeee yyyooouuu???

Found them!

Of course, he had to mow. Can't take too much of a play break!

Brubby enjoyed the festivities from his swing on the deck :)

Later that day, I finally got some pics of my boys together. They are my world!!!

Now, I'm backtracking a little, but a couple weeks ago, we went to 4D Farms for their Easter fun on the farm! We loved this place when we went to the Pumpkin Patch, so it was nice to go back. J loved seeing the animals and has asked everyday since about going to see the animals at the "bom" (barn).

He wasn't really happy about riding the horse. He would talk to the horse and even pet him on the neck, but didn't just love riding him.

Cutie patooties :)

Once again, Brubby enjoyed himself!

Unsure about the Easter Bunny

I got to slide this time since Brubby was out of my tummy!

It doesn't look like it in this pic, but J loves the cow train.

We also did a couple of Easter art projects. This one is my fav. J is really getting better at painting!

Yes, baby...Jesus loves you and so does Mommy!!!

DUMP Everything...Jonah's Turning 2!!!

Yesterday was party day for this handsome baby boy...I mean, 2 year old! How is it possible? I think this past year went even faster than the first, if that's possible. We wanted to have the party at our house, and since Jonah loves his dump trucks and "tractors", we went with the construction theme. It was just so cute and so much fun!!! We rented an inflatable for the kids to play on, had tons of yummy snacks, and an adorable cake. It was such a pretty day, but super hot out in the sun! The kids played and played and had such a good time. After the party, Jonah slept for like 2 hours. He was wiped out...we all were! Fisher was kinda fussy and refused to be put down. Someone was jealous! Grandpa held him most of the time. Jonah seemed to have so much fun with all the kids that came. He jumped and giggled and squealed in the bounce house. I was so happy to see that he was happy! Isn't that why we throw these parties for kids who, honestly, won't remember them?

We are now 2 days away from Jonah's actually birthday, and I just don't know how I feel about that. Jonah, you are seriously amazing. You are so smart and loving. You will give everyone the sweetest hugs and kisses. You are also very independent. You want to do things yourself, saying "Jonah do it!" You love to read, especially this Cars seek and find book. We read that one like 10 times a day. You love all kinds of trucks and planes and tractors. We always have to look for the firetrucks at the end of the street. You get so excited if they are sitting outside. Speaking of outside, you LOVE to play outside and could stay out there from sun-up to sun-down. You eat great, most of the time and can seriously chug some milk. You are still my great sleeper, as always. I love to watch you learn to do new things, even read through a new book. I can just tell your little brain is ticking away and absorbing everything you see. You love to hold your brubby (for like 30 seconds at a time) then you are "done, done!" We are so very proud of you and love you to pieces, little man.
