I say this each year, but this Christmas was the best yet! We loved watching J as he seemed to really "get" Christmas this year, and sweet Brubby who spent his first Christmas getting into everything and filling our hearts with such joy! These boys totally own me :) We were super busy but had a lot of fun!
We made and decorated cookies...
Had Christmas Eve at the cousins' house...
The reading/singing of Pete the Cat Saves Christmas! "Give it trollllllll"
Said goodbye to Henry and left out some goodies for Santa and his reindeer...
And had such a magical and fun Christmas morning!!!
Where did they go???
Making breakfast casserole and monkey bread...yummo!
J loved his "green i-potty" from Nonny and Poppy!
Watching Planes Fire and Rescue
The boys really enjoyed themselves and love playing with all of their new toys! I said I wasn't Santa wasn't going to go crazy this year, but we are blessed in a way that we can make sure our kids have a special Christmas. I made sure to talk to J about the true meaning and that it is really Jesus's birthday. Not sure if he really got it or not, but we talked about it anyways. I hope I can always get them to see what Christmas is actually about.
At New Year's, I love to make a collage of the best parts of the past year that seemed to just fly by! 2014 brought us our sweet angel Fisher Cole, Jonah's second birthday and starting preschool, and watching the two of them grow closer and interact in such an adorable way. We are in such a fun stage of life. I hold tight to my babies, but I also look forward to seeing what is to come as they get bigger and can do more things together. Who knows what 2015 will hold. Another baby? Maybe. Hard times? Probably at some point. Good times and great memories? Of course! Bring it on!!!
It was such a fun Christmas. It's so much fun watching the boys and seeing the wonderment in Jonah's eyes and watching Brubby crawl after Jonah. We thought "Jonahvision" was so entertaining, but now we have two channels and I love them both!! I love that Fisher is coming into his personality which sometimes looks like he is very unimpressed with the situation, but that's what makes it so precious! I still love Jonah's dark brown twinkly eyes and all that they express. I am so thankful for 2014 but looking forward to more fun and blessings in 2015. I pray the Lord will bless and protect our entire family in the coming year, whatever it may bring.
